So much of what is viewed as beautiful is new, shiny, delicate, and unscarred. To me, the most beautiful things are those that exist, persist... in spite of it all. To have endured the ravages of time, the elements, each other and to still have the character, fortitude, and persistence to endure.

This exhibit is a reaction and reflection on that quality of beauty when human and nature intersect.

Reactions are drawings recording my visceral feelings "en plein air". Reflections are works mostly done in studio because the memories of the moment insisted I explore further.
